Matt "Chew" Odle was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1976. From an early age he embraced a desire to create and began as a self-taught artist.. As he grew older Chew experimented in various forms of visual arts. In 1991 as a teen he developed a strong interest in graffiti. Chew uses the skills he has developed as a professional artist with large public murals and commissions utilizing a variety of media ranging from graphite, markers, acrylics, watercolor, and of course, spray paint.
Chew is best known for “wild styles” (graffiti style lettering) characters, portraits and landscapes, which he often uses to enhance his work. His art has been exhibited in various galleries and can be seen in many public venues. Chew continues to develop his artistic ability in his studio and while completing commissions throughout various states across the U.S.
